DAY 1 – Arrive in Egypt for your Tour from Cairo to Petra

When you arrive in Egypt for your Tour from Cairo to Petra your tour manager will meet you at the airport. You will be transferred to your hotel in one of our deluxe air-conditioned vehicles. Your tour manager will assist you with check-in. He or she will also discuss your itinerary with you and confirm a meeting time for the following day’s tour. There are no tours scheduled for today so you will have the rest of your first day in Cairo to yourself.

DAY 2 – Giza Pyramids and the GEM

Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at your hotel before embarking on an exciting adventure. Your personal guide will take you to the Giza Plateau, where you’ll be captivated by the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Explore the Plateau further with visits to the renowned Sphinx and the historic Valley Temple.

After your time at the pyramids, enjoy a flavorful lunch at a local Egyptian restaurant. Next, visit the New Grand Egyptian Museum, often called the Giza Museum, located approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza Pyramid Complex. During its preview phase, the museum offers limited access to areas such as the Main Galleries, the Grand Hall, the Grand Staircase, commercial spaces, and beautifully landscaped exterior gardens. Conclude your day by returning to your hotel for a relaxing overnight stay in Cairo.

DAY 3 – Transfer to Luxor; Cruise Embarkation and East Bank Tour

Check-out from your hotel will be shortly after breakfast, at which point your tour manager and driver will transfer you to Cairo airport to board a short flight to Luxor. When you land in Luxor you will again be met by one of our tour managers and a driver who will then take you to board your 5-Star Nile cruise ship. Lunch will be served shortly after you board, and then a little bit later in the day one of our Egyptologist tour guides will take you and a small group of our other clients for a tour on the east bank of the Nile at Luxor.

During your tour, you will visit Luxor Temple and the vast Karnak Temple complex; two of Egypt’s most famous ancient Egyptian sites. Following your tour, you will return to the ship and then you will have the rest of the day to yourself. Enjoy this night of your Egypt Tours with Nile Cruise package on the river at Luxor.

DAY 4 – Luxor West Bank and Cruise to Edfu

Today, our Egyptologist guide will take you and the other members of your group for a tour on the west bank of the Nile at Luxor. First you will visit Valley of the Kings which is an ancient royal burial ground. More than 60 tombs have been discovered here, including the tomb in which Pharaoh Ramses VI was laid to rest, and also the tomb of King Tutankhamen.

After visiting Valley of the Kings, you will then be taken to see the astonishing mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut that was constructed and decorated by the same workers who excavated and decorated the tombs in the Valley of the Kings. It is today considered to be one of the Incomparable Monuments of Ancient Egypt.

Following your tour, you will return to the ship in time for lunch, after which it will begin sailing to Edfu. There are no other tours today, so you will have the rest of the day for relaxing, and you will spend this night of your Egypt travel adventure on the Nile at Edfu.

DAY 5 – Edfu and Kom Ombo Temples

Have breakfast on the Nile and then enjoy a visit to Edfu Temple which also known as the Temple of Horus. This temple was buried under the sand for more than 2,000 years and as a result, it is the best preserved ancient Egyptian cult temple ever discovered in Egypt. Head back to the ship after your tour, and then enjoy a nice leisurely cruise while you travel along the Nile to Kom Ombo.

When the ship docks at Kom Ombo, you will be taken to see the remains of another fascinating ancient temple. Kom Ombo Temple was essentially a twin temple complex that was dedicated to two different gods: Sobek the crocodile god, and Horus the falcon-headed god.

Once everyone is back on board the vessel, it will then start sailing along the Nile to Aswan, with lunch being served along the way. Enjoy a lovely leisurely afternoon out on the river, and spend this night of your Egypt Tour with Nile Cruise package on the Nile at Aswan.

DAY 6 – Aswan Tour and Leisure Time

Breakfast is served aboard the ship as usual, and then you will be taken to see the Aswan High Dam; the giant Unfinished Obelisk, and the spectacular ancient Temple of Philae that was dedicated to two different Egyptian goddesses: Hathor and Isis. After your tour, you will return to the ship with your guide and then you will have the rest of the day free for leisure and relaxation.

Lunch and dinner will be served aboard the cruise ship at the usual times, and you will spend this night of your trip on the river at Aswan again

DAY 7 – Return to Cairo

Your classic trip along the Nile has come to an end, so enjoy your last breakfast on the river, and then you will check-out and disembark, and you will be taken to Aswan Airport to board a flight back to Cairo. As usual, you will once again be met at the airport in Cairo and then driven to the hotel where you will be staying for the last night in Egypt. There are no tours scheduled for this day, so you will be free to enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

DAY 8 – Luxury Egypt Tour with Nile Cruise Ends

At the appropriate time, you will check out from your hotel, and then you will be driven to Cairo International Airport in time for you to catch your flight back home. Your 8-Day Luxury Egypt Tour with Nile Cruise package has now come to end.
