The reason for building it this way was because the site was dedicated to two different gods at the same time: Sobek the crocodile god, and Haeroris the falcon-headed god.
After your tour, you will return to the Amoura Dahabiya. The crew will then trim the sails, and you will set off towards Gebel el Silsila to see one of the Nile River Valley’s less frequented ancient attractions, the ancient Speos of Hormheb.
Lunch will of course be served along the way, and if possible, you will be served dinner inside this ancient temple’s grounds when it is illuminated in the evening. This is really a remarkable setting, and there will be some soft music playing which fits the occasion perfectly. Tonight, the Amoura Dahabiya will remain tied up alongside the Speos of Hormheb.
