Itinerary 1 : 5 Days from Aswan to Luxor
DAY 1 – Aswan Arrival, Cruise Embarkation, and Nubian Museum
On arrival at Aswan Airport or Aswan Railway Station, one of your tour representatives will be standing by to meet and greet you, and to offer any assistance you may need. You will then be driven in a modern air-conditioned vehicle to the Oberoi Philae’s private docking area, where you will then board this beautifully appointed 5-Star Nile River cruise ship.
Enjoy lunch on board the vessel, and then you will have some free time for yourself so that you can get settled in At 16h00, one of our tour guides will accompany you and a small group of our other clients for a short excursion to see the Nubian Museum. To make this a little bit more special, you will be taken to the museum and back by motor boat.
When you return to the ship, you will again have a little bit of time for yourself, and then dinner will be served at 19h30. The first night of your Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise will be spent on the water in Aswan.

DAY 2 – Aswan Tour, then Cruise to Edfu via Kom Ombo
Today begins earlier than usual, with coffee and cookies at 06h00, after which you will enjoy a truly memorable sunrise visit to the Aswan High Dam and the magnificent ancient Temple of Philae. After your early morning tour, you will head back to the vessel, and it will depart from Aswan at 09h00, with breakfast being served along the way while it is heading to Kom Ombo.
At 13h00, shortly after arriving at Kom Ombo, you will once again leave the ship, and you will enjoy a visit to Kom Ombo Temple. This ancient complex actually consists of two identical temples, with one essentially being a mirror image of the other. One was dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god, and the other to Haeroris, the falcon-headed god.
After your Kom Ombo tour, you will head back to the Oberoi Philae, and lunch will then be served at 14h00 while sailing to Edfu. Enjoy afternoon tea a little bit later in the day, and at 19h00 there will be a cocktail reception with some entertainment before dinner is served at 19h30. Enjoy this night of your Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise on the water at Edfu.

DAY 3 – Edfu Excursion and Cruise to Luxor
Today, breakfast will be served from 07h00 to 09h00, at which point you will leave the ship, and you will best taken to see the best-preserved temple of the Ancient World, the Temple of Horus which was buried beneath the sand for more than 2,000 years.
Following your visit to Horus Temple, you will return to the ship in time for lunch, and it will then set sail for Luxor via Esna where it will have to pass through the Esna Lock. Enjoy a good dinner on board the ship at 19h30, and have a good night’s sleep in your cabin on the water at Luxor.

DAY 4 – Luxor Sightseeing Tours
Breakfast today will be served from 06h00 to 07h00, and then you will leave the ship for an unforgettable tour of the West Bank in Luxor. This tour will see you visiting four amazing monuments: Valley of the Kings; the Temple of Medinet Habu; Dier el Madina, and the Colossi of Memnon.
Valley of the Kings is a huge ancient royal necropolis where more than 60 tombs have been discovered, including the tomb of King Ramesses the 6 th and the tomb of King Tutankhamen which was still sealed and intact when it was discovered.
Next, you will visit the massively impressive Temple of Medinet Habu which was the mortuary temple of King Ramesses the 3 rd . From here, you will head to Dier el Madina which was once a large village inhabited by the laborers and craftsmen who were involved in the building and decorating of the tombs you will have seen at Valley of the Kings.
After Dier el Madina, you will begin making your way back to the Oberoi Philae, stopping to the the Colossi of Memnon along the way. Once back on the boat, lunch will be served, and then at 17h00 you will once again disembark and you will be taken to see the very impressive Luxor Temple on Luxor’s East Bank
At around 18h30, you will return to your cruise ship, and then dinner will once again be served at 19h30.

DAY 5 – Disembarkation, Karnak Temple, and Departure
Enjoy your last breakfast on board the ship, and then at 08h00 you will check out and disembark. After disembarkation, you will enjoy a visit to Karnak Temple which is essentially the ruins of what was once an entire temple city that was added to over a period spanning more than 2,000 years. While only the ruins of the city remain, they cover an area of around 5,000 square meters so there is plenty to see here. After your tour to Karnak is over, our tour representative will then escort you to the airport or to the train station, depending on what you travel arrangements are. Your unforgettable Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise will now have come to an end.

Itinerary 2 : 5 Days from Luxor to Aswan
DAY 1 – Arrive for Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise Embarkation and Luxor East Bank Tour
When you arrive at the airport or the train station in Luxor for your Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise, you will be met by one of our tour managers. After pleasantries have been exchanged, he will escort you in a modern air-conditioned vehicle to the Oberoi Philae’s private docking area, and then you will embark and check-in aboard the ship.
Shortly after boarding, you will enjoy your first onboard lunch in the ship’s beautifully appointed restaurant. After lunch, you will leave the ship, along with a group of our other clients, and you will enjoy a visit to the East Bank to see two wonderful ancient attractions: the Karnak Temple complex, and the much-better preserved Luxor Temple.
After spending some time at these two sites, you will head back to the 5-Star Oberoi Philae, and you will have some free time to enjoy as you wish. The crew will begin serving dinner at 19h00, and tonight you will be spending your first night on the water at Luxor.

DAY 2 – Luxor West Bank Excursion and Cruise to Esna
Today gets off to an early start, with breakfast being served from 06h00 to 07h00, after which you will be leaving the ship, this time for a visit to the West Bank. As is always the case, our Egyptologist tour guide will accompany you on your tour to see another three incredible attractions.
First, you will be taken to see the Valley of Kings, and ancient royal necropolis which is home to more than 60 tombs, including the tomb of King Ramesses the 6 th , and the tomb of the boy king, Tutankhamen. Next, you will be taken to see the Temple of Medinet Habu which was the mortuary temple of Ramesses the 3 rd . From here, you will head to Dier el Medina which was once a village that was home to the people who worked on the tombs at Valley of the Kings.
Your last stop today will be to see the Colossi of Memnon, and then you will return to the ship, and it will set sail for Esna via the Esna Lock. Enjoy a good lunch on board, and have the remainder of the afternoon to yourself.
At 19h00 there will be a short Captain’s Welcome Cocktail Party, and then at 19h30, the crew will start serving dinner. Tonight you will be sleeping on the water at Esna.

DAY 3 – Cruise to Kom Ombo with Edfu and Kom Ombo Excursions
Today your Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise gets off to an even earlier start, departing from Esna at 04h00, and then heading for Edfu. Enjoy your breakfast on the water, and then at about 08h00, you will disembark at Edfu, and our guide will escort you to see Horus Temple. This temple was deserted by the Roman and was later buried beneath the sand where it remained until it was rediscovered more than 2,000 years later. Today, it is the best-preserved ancient temple in the country.
After your tour is over, you will return to the ship, and it will then sail to Kom Ombo where you will enjoy another excursion after lunch. This time you will be taken see Kom Ombo Temple. This is a truly remarkable complex which is essentially two identical temples in one. The temple was built in this manner because it was dedicated to two gods: Sobek the crocodile god, and Haeroris the falcon-headed god.
Your Kom Ombo Temple tour typically lasts from about 15h00 to about 16h30, at which point you will return to your cruise ship. As usual, dinner will be served 19h30, and you will spend this night of your Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise on the water at Kom Ombo.

DAY 4 – Cruise to Aswan with Aswan Excursion
The Oberoi Philae will depart from Kom Ombo at 06h00 today, and it will set sail for Aswan. Breakfast will be served from 07h00 to 10h00, and at 10h00, you will disembark in Aswan for another excursion.
Today you will be going to see the Aswan High Dam and amazing Temple of Philae which was moved to its current location after the Aswan High Dam was constructed in order to save if from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.
After you have spent some time at Philae Temple, you will then head back to your cruise ship, and lunch will be served at 12h30. Enjoy some free time for relaxing, and then at 16h00 you will once again leave the ship, and you and the rest of your small group will be taken to see the Nubian Museum in a motor boat.
When you are finished at the museum, the motor boat will take you back to the ship, and you will have a bit of free time for yourself before dinner is served at 19h30. The last night of you Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise will be spent on the water at Aswan.

DAY 5 – Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise Disembarkation and Departure

Itinerary 3 : 7 Days from Aswan to Luxor
DAY 1 – Arrive Luxor, Cruise Embarkation, and East Bank Excursion
When you arrive at the airport or the train station in Luxor for your Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise experience, we will have one of our tour managers there to meet and greet you, and to offer any assistance you may need. He will then escort you in a modern and comfortable air-conditioned vehicle to the private docking area where you will be boarding the 5-Star Oberoi Philae cruise ship. Shortly after you have checked in, you will enjoy your first onboard lunch, and then shortly after that, one of our tour guides will accompany you and a small group of our other clients to see two excellent attractions on Luxor’s East Bank: the magnificent Karnak Temple complex, and the incredibly interesting Luxor Museum.
After you have visited both of the places, you will head back to the ship, and you will have some time for yourself so that you can get settled in. Dinner will be served in the ship’s beautifully appointed restaurant at 19h30, and the first night of your cruise will be spent on the water at Luxor.

DAY 2 – West Bank Tour, Cruise to Qena, and Qena Excursion
Enjoy an early breakfast today, and then at around 07h00 you will disembark and you will enjoy a tour of the West Bank. This tour will see you visiting Valley of the Kings, an ancient royal necropolis, the same necropolis there the tomb of King Tutankhamen was discovered, and also the tomb of King Ramesses the 6th. After Valley of Kings, you will then be taken to see Medinet Habu which was the mortuary temple of King Ramesses the 3 rd .
Your next stop will be at Dier el Madina, the ancient village that was home to the many craftsmen and their families who spent their lives making and decorating the tombs at the Valley of Kings. The last stop on your West Bank tour will be at the Colossi of Memnon, and then it will be time for you to return to the ship in time for lunch which will be served at 12h30, just after the Oberoi Philae sets sail for Qena.
Today you will have the afternoon to yourself, and then at 18h00 you will disembark again, this time so that you can visit the ancient Temple of Dendara. After spending some time here, you will return to the ship, and there will be a Cocktail Reception at 20h00. Today, dinner will only be served at 20h30, and this night of your cruise will be spent on the water at Qena.

DAY 3 – Temple of Abydos Visit, Cruise to Luxor, and Luxor Temple
Day 3 of your Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise begins with an early breakfast at around 06h00, and then at 07h00 you will disembark for a visit to the ancient Temple Of Abydos, also sometimes called the Temple of Seti the 1 st . While Seti is probably one of the least famous pharaohs of the New Kingdom, his temple at Abydos is often considered to be the most impressive religious building still standing. It really is a stunning temple, and also one of the most famous ancient temples in the country.
After this excursion, you will return to your cruise ship, and you will have most of the morning to yourself, with the ship departing for Luxor at 12h00.
Enjoy a good lunch on board the vessel shortly after leaving Qena, and have most of the afternoon to yourself to enjoy as you wish. The Oberoi Philae will arrive in Luxor shortly before 17h00, and at 17h30 you will disembark foe a visit to the ancient Luxor Temple.
After your visit to Luxor Temple, you will then head back to the Oberoi Philae cruise ship, and dinner will be served at 19h30. The remainder of the evening is then yours to enjoy as you wish. Tonight you will once again be sleeping on the water at Luxor

DAY 4 – Leisure Cruise with Excursion at Edfu
The 4 th day of your Oberoi Philae Nile cruise is all about relaxing and enjoying a carefree day on the water, with only one excursion later in the day at Edfu. At 06h00, your cruise ship will depart from Luxor, and it will set sail for Edfu. Breakfast on board the ship can be enjoyed any time between 07h00 and 10h00 today, and you will then have nearly the entire day for yourself to enjoy as you wish.
At 16h00, after arriving in Edfu, our tour guide will take you and the other members of your group on an excursion to see the ancient Temple of Horus. Horus Temple is the most well-preserved temple in Egypt, thanks to the fact that it was buried beneath the desert sand for more than 2,000 years after the Romans deserted it.
Following your visit to Horus Temple, you will then make your way back to the Oberoi Philae, and Dinner will be served in the ship’s restaurant at 19h30. Enjoy the remainder of the evening as you wish, and have a wonderful night’s sleep on the water at Edfu.

DAY 5 – Cruise to Aswan via Kom Ombo, with Kom Ombo and Aswan Excursions
Today, the Oberoi Philae will depart from Edfu at 06h00, and breakfast will be served from 07h00 until 09h00 while you are sailing to Kom Ombo. Then, at 11h00, shortly after your arrival at Kom Ombo, you will leave the ship, and our guide will take you to see the remarkable Kom Ombo Temple. Interestingly, this complex is essentially two identical temples in one. The reason for this being that the structure was dedicated to two gods: Sobek the crocodile god, and Haeroris the falcon-headed god.
After enjoying some time at Kom Ombo Temple, you will make your way back to the Oberoi Philae, and it will then set sail for Aswan. Lunch will be served at the usual time, and then at 16h00 you will disembark in Aswan to visit the Nubian Museum. A motor boat will be taking you to the museum and back, something which not all of the Oberoi Philae’s passengers will experience.
Dinner on board the ship will be served at 19h30, and you will spend this night of your Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise on the water in Aswan.

DAY 6 – Optional Abu Simbel Tour and Aswan Sightseeing
Breakfast on board the boat will be served from 07h00 until 10h00 today, and you will have the morning free to enjoy as you wish. Alternatively, you can enjoy an optional tour to Abu Simbel. However, because this is an optional tour, it is not included in the price of your Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise package. Lunch on board the ship will be served at the usual time, and then at 14h00 you will leave the ship with our tour guide, and you will be taken to see the extremely impressive Aswan High Dam, and the unforgettable ancient Temple of Philae which is well and truly a sight not to be missed.
Once you return to the vessel after your tour, you will have the remainder of the day free to enjoy as you wish. Dinner will once again be served at 19h30, and you will spend the last night of you Nile River cruise on the water at Awan.

DAY 1 – Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise Embarkation and Luxor East Bank Excursion
As is always the case when you book a cruise through Nile Cruises Plus, we will have one of our tour managers standing by to meet and greet you when you arrive at Luxor Airport or Luxor Train Station. You will be assisted in every way possible, and then you will be escorted in a clean and modern air- conditioned vehicle to the private docking area of the Oberoi Philae.
You will then board the 5-Star cruise ship and you will be checked-in, and about 30 minutes after you have checked-in, you will be served a good lunch in the ship’s restaurant. After lunch, you will disembark with a group of our other clients, and you will be taken to see two
fabulous attractions on the East Bank: the huge Karnak Temple complex, and then Luxor Temple. Both of these are among the most visited ancient monuments in Egypt. Following your Luxor East Bank tour, you will return to the ship, and the remainder of the afternoon will
be yours to enjoy as you wish. Dinner will be served at around 19h00, and you will spend this night of

Enjoy an early 06h00 breakfast, and then you will leave the ship for a visit to the magnificent Temple of Abydos. This temple is considered by many to be the most spectacular religious build from the Ancient World still standing. Following your visit to this site, you will return to the ship, and it will start sailing back to Luxor, with another good lunch served along the way.
Once you have finished eating your lunch, you will then be able to spend most of the afternoon as you wish, but at 17h30 you will be disembarking for a 1-hour tour to see the very impressive Luxor Temple. This evening, dinner will be served at 19h30, and tonight you will be sleeping in your cabin on the water at Luxor.

DAY 4 – Cruise to Edfu and Edfu Temple Visit
Today presents the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind on the river. The ship will depart from Luxor at 06h00; breakfast will be served at 07h00, and then the rest of the morning is yours to enjoy as you wish. Lunch will then be served at 13h00, after which you will be able to enjoy some more free time until 16h00 when you will be disembarking to visit the incredible Horus Temple at Edfu.Having been buried beneath the sand for more than 2,000 years, Horus Temple is today the best-preserved ancient temple in Egypt.
Following your visit to the temple, you will head back to the ship, and dinner will then be served at 19h30, and you will spend this night on the water at Edfu.

If you don’t choose the Abu Simbel tour, you will enjoy the morning to yourself, and as usual, Lunch will

At 14h00, you will then disembark, and you will enjoy a visit to the Aswan High Dam and the magnificent Temple of Philae. Once your Aswan tour ends, you will head back to the Oberoi Philae, and then you will have some free time for yourself, with dinner once again being served at 19h30. The last night of your Oberoi Philae Nile Cruise will be spent on the water at Luxor
