DAY 1 – Arrive Cairo for Egypt and Jordan Travel Package

When you arrive at Cairo Airport for your Egypt and Jordan Travel Package, one of tour representatives will be there to welcome you to Egypt and then escort you to the hotel where you will be staying while you’re in Cairo. Once you reach your hotel, our representative will help with check-in and then briefly discuss your travel itinerary with you. With that out of the way, you will then be left on your own to enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

DAY 2 – Egyptian Pyramids Tour

Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel then had the agreed time, your tour guide will meet you and you will escort you on a tour to Egypt’s most famous attraction, the Great Pyramids of Giza where you will also have the chance to see the Sphinx and the Valley Temple. You will also have an opportunity to visit the site’s Solar Boat Museum, but this optional, and the cost of a ticket for the museum is not included in the price of our Egypt and Jordan travel package.

After your visit to the pyramids, you will be taken for lunch good local restaurant and then you will travel to Saqqara which is another ancient royal necropolis. The main highlight here is the Djoser Pyramid which was the first Egyptian pyramid ever built. Next, you will be driven to Memphis which was the capital of the Old Kingdom, and is today most famous for its ancient necropolis.
After enjoying some time at Memphis, your guide and driver will then escort you back to your hotel in Cairo.

DAY 3 – Visiting the Egyptian Museum and the GEM

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel, your first stop will be the New Grand Egyptian Museum, also known as the Giza Museum. Located just 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza Pyramid Complex, this world-class archaeological museum is currently offering limited access as it prepares for its grand opening. During your visit, you’ll be able to explore the Main Galleries, Grand Hall, Grand Staircase, commercial areas, and outdoor gardens.

Next, you’ll head to a local Egyptian restaurant for a traditional lunch. Following this, your journey continues with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, located in the heart of historic Downtown Cairo, overlooking the iconic Tahrir Square. Spend time marveling at the stunning collection of ancient Egyptian artifacts and treasures.

After a fascinating day of exploration, return to your hotel to relax and enjoy an overnight stay in Cairo.

DAY 4 – Flight to Aswan

In the early morning, transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight to Aswan. Upon arrival at Aswan Airport, you will be greeted and proceed to visit the awe-inspiring Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddesses Isis and Hathor. Next, explore the Unfinished Obelisk, the largest ancient obelisk ever discovered, located in the northern region of Egypt’s historic stone quarries. Overnight stay in Aswan.

DAY 5 – Abu Simbel from Aswan and Nile Cruise Embarkation

This day of your Egypt and Jordan travel package begins with an early morning check-out and departure from your hotel. At 3 o’clock in the morning our representative will come and get you and you will travel to Abu Simbel which takes approximately 3 hours. Your hotel will provide you with a breakfast pack which you can enjoy during your trip to Abu Simbel. On arrival at Abu Simbel you will be given a tour of the famous rock-cut temples which were both constructed during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II to serve as lasting monuments of himself and his wife Queen Nefertari.

After you tour you will then travel back to Aswan and you will be taken to board your 5-star Nile cruise ship. Enjoy lunch shortly after boarding and then you will be taken for a tour of Aswan during which you will see the Aswan High Dam, the ancient Temple of Philae and the giant Unfinished Obelisk. After your tour, you will head back to the cruise ship and you will have the remainder of the day to yourself. This night of your Egypt and Jordan travel package will be spent on the water at Aswan.

DAY 6 – Cruise to Esna with Kom Ombo and Edfu Excursions

Wake up and enjoy your breakfast on the water while you’re sailing towards Kom Ombo where you will disembark to visit the famous Kom Ombo Temple complex. This unique and remarkable ancient structure was dedicated to Sobek the crocodile god and Haeroris the falcon-headed god.

After your tour, you will then continue sailing to Edfu where you will once again disembark, this time to visit the Temple of Horus which is the best preserved ancient Egyptian temple in Egypt. Next, you will return to the ship again, and it will sail to Esna where you will be spending this night of your trip in your beautifully appointed cabin on the tranquil waters of the Nile.

DAY 7 –Luxor West Bank Tour

Brace yourself for an incredible tour of the West Bank in Luxor. Today, you will be visiting the Valley of the Kings where they have discovered more than 60 Royal tombs, including the tomb of King Tutankhamen and king Ramses the 6th. When Tutankhamen’s tomb was discovered in the 1920s, it was still sealed and intact, and it contained a vast collection of treasures, all of which are on display at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo. His actual mummy remains in his tomb at Valley of the Kings to this day. This tomb is one of several that are open to visitors although a special ticket is required, and visitors are required to purchase their own tickets at the site on the day that they visit. Only a limited number are made available each day.

You will also visit the sprawling mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut which is considered to be one of the Incomparable Ancient Egyptian Monuments. Your last stop will be at the Colossi of Memnon. After your excursion, you will then head back to the boat where you will enjoy another good lunch. This night of your trip will be spent on the Nile at Luxor.

DAY 8 – East Bank Tour and Flight to Sharm El Sheikh

This day of your Egypt and Jordan travel package will begin with another good breakfast, and then you will check-out and disembark from the ship. You will then enjoy a visit to two ancient attractions on the East Bank of Luxor: the massive Karnak Temple complex and the beautifully preserved Luxor Temple.

After visiting Karnak Temple and Luxor Temple, you will then be driven to the airport and you will board a short flight to Sharm El Sheikh on the Red Sea Coast. On arrival, you will be met at the airport by one of our tour representatives, and you will be taken to the hotel where you will be staying for the night, and then you will have the remainder of the day for relaxing.

DAY 9 – Ras Muhammad National Park Snorkeling Tour

This day of your Egypt and Jordan travel package is all about snorkeling and relaxation. At the time confirmed with you yesterday, our tour representative will collect you from your hotel and you will travel to the Ras Muhammad National Park where you will be able to enjoy some world-class snorkeling in the crystal clear waters of the Red Sea. After a thoroughly enjoyable morning, you will then be transferred back to your hotel and you will have the afternoon to yourself.

DAY 10 – Leisure Time or Optional Tour to the Monastery of St. Catherine

There are no scheduled outings for this day of your trip although there is an optional tour available to see the Monastery of Saint Catherine. The monastery houses the world’s largest collection of religious manuscripts outside of the Vatican City. If you do not opt to go on this tour, then you will instead have the entire day for yourself to enjoy as you wish.

DAY 11 – Flight from Sharm El Sheikh to Amman in Jordan

The next phase of your Egypt and Jordan travel package begins today. At the confirmed time, our tour representative will collect you from your hotel and assist you with check-out, and then he will escort you to the airport to board your flight to Amman in Jordan.

On arrival at the airport in Amman, another one of our tour representatives will be there to meet you and escort you to the hotel where you will be staying for the remaining days of your trip. Once you’ve been assisted with check-in, our tour representative will confirm a pick-up time for the following day’s tour, and then you will be left to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish.

DAY 12 – Madaba and Dead Sea Experience

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in Amman, and then at the confirmed time, our tour representative will collect you from your hotel, and he will drive you to Madaba to see the church of Saint George where you will be able to see a strikingly beautiful stone mosaic depicting the map of Palestine as it was during the 6th century.

After spending some time at the church, you will then travel to the Dead Sea. This is the lowest point on Earth, and it is famous for its mineral-rich mud, and also because it is the only place in the world where the water has such a high salt content that you are literally able to float on top of it. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon by the Dead Sea and then you will travel back to your hotel in Amman.

DAY 13 – Tour of the Rose Red City of Petra

Today is definitely going to be one of the highlights of your Egypt and Jordan travel package. Enjoy your breakfast, and then you will be taken for a two-and-a-half-hour drive to visit the ancient Rose-Red City of Petra. This ancient city, also sometimes called the Lost City of Petra, was carved out of the walls of a deep, and often narrow, 1,200-meter long gorge.

No amount of words can even begin to describe the sheer magnificence of this incredible site which dates back to the 6th Century BC, and was established by the Nabatean Arabs. The tour involves quite a lot of walking so it is highly recommended that you wear comfortable shoes or sandals. It is a 700 meter walk from The Visitor Center, and then a further 1,200 meters through the long and narrow gorge, at which point you will be greeted by the most amazing sight, the Treasury.

Our Petra tours last approximately 3 hours, after which you will travel back to your hotel in Amman where you will be spending the last night of your Egypt and Jordan travel package.

DAY 14 – Egypt and Jordan Travel Package Ends and Final Departure

Enjoy one last breakfast at your hotel, and then at the appropriate time, our tour representative will meet you and assist you with check-out, and then escort you to the airport in time for your flight back home. Your incredible Egypt and Jordan Travel Package has now come to an end, so we will bid you farewell and wish you a safe and pleasant trip back home.
