At the departure time which will have been confirmed with you, your guide will meet you at your cruise exit gate, holding a sign with your name on it. Once the two of you have met and greeted each other, your guide will lead you to your private air conditioned vehicle and you will begin the drive to Cairo in absolute comfort. The journey from Alexandria Port to Cairo takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours. If you would like to take a short break during the drive you can simply let your guide know.
Giza Pyramids and the Sphinx

The market is also well known for its street food culture and its cafes where you can sit and enjoy some tea or coffee while you watch ordinary Egyptians going about their daily lives. In short, no day trip to Cairo is complete without a visit to Khan el Khalili, Egypt’s most famous market.
Departure time from Cairo to Alexandria Port will depend on what time your cruise ship is due to depart. If your cruise ship is still going to be docked at Alexandria Port for another day or more, then you will of course be able to spend a little bit more time at the market if you want to.
