Colossi of Memnon

The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Amenhotep III that once stood guard in front of his mortuary temple complex. Today, there is virtually no sign of the original temple complex other than these two colossal statues.

Valley of the Kings

The Valley of Kings is a definite must-see archaeological site for anyone who has an interest in ancient Egyptian history, and for many people, it is one of the top highlights of our Luxor tour from Safaga Port. This incredible site is home to more than 60 royal tombs, including one of the world’s most famous, the tomb of King Tutankhamun. Unlike the other tombs in the valley, the tomb of King Tutankhamun was still sealed when it was discovered in the early 20th century.
Nearly all of the relics and ancient Egyptian artifacts that were discovered inside his tomb have been moved to the Egyptian Museum in Cairo and the new Grand Egyptian Museum at Giza. However, King Tutankhamun’s mummy remains on display inside is tomb.

The temple which is located at the base of sheer limestone cliffs is instantly recognizable due to a series of terraces, a feature which you will not see at any other ancient Egyptian temple.
