DAY 1 – Arrive in Cairo for your Egypt and Cairo Tour

Welcome to Egypt, Land of the Pharaohs. When your plane lands at Cairo International Airport, your tour manager will meet you and assist you in any way he can, and then he will escort you to the hotel where you will be staying while you are in Cairo. On arrival at the hotel, your tour manager will assist you with check-in and then he will briefly discuss your tour itinerary with you, and then after that you will be left on your own to enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

DAY 2 – Best of Historical Cairo Tour

Start your day with a nourishing breakfast at your hotel before embarking on an unforgettable journey. Your personal guide will lead you to the renowned Giza Plateau, where you’ll marvel at the timeless majesty of the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Take in the fascinating sights as you visit the legendary Sphinx and the historic Valley Temple, delving into the rich legacy of ancient Egypt.

After your morning explorations, enjoy a delicious lunch at a traditional Egyptian restaurant, offering an authentic taste of local cuisine. Your adventure continues at the New Grand Egyptian Museum, often referred to as the Giza Museum. Situated approximately 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) from the Giza Pyramid complex, this cutting-edge archaeological museum is currently in its pre-opening phase.

You’ll have the exclusive opportunity to explore limited-access areas, including the captivating Main Galleries, the magnificent Grand Hall, the Grand Staircase, and the scenic exterior gardens. Take a moment to browse the museum’s retail spaces and immerse yourself in its innovative design and displays.

Conclude your day by returning to your hotel, filled with memories of a journey through Egypt’s unparalleled history and culture.

DAY 3 – Cairo to Luxor, Cruise Embarkation and East Bank Tour

The next phase of your Egypt and Turkey tour begins today, so after you have had your breakfast, you will be driven to the airport and you will board a short flight to Luxor. On arrival at the airport in Luxor, another one of our tour managers will be there to meet you and assist you, and to escort you to the area where you will be boarding the 5-Star Nile River cruise ship.
Enjoy lunch on the ship shortly after embarkation, and then one of our tour guides will take you for a tour of the East Bank in Luxor. During this tour you will first visit the ancient Karnak Temple complex which was built over a period spanning more than 2500 years. After you’ve had some time to explore this historical site, you will then make your way to Luxor Temple which is surprisingly well preserved.
After Luxor Temple, you will make your way back to the ship and you will have some free time for yourself before dinner is served in the evening. Enjoy the first night of your cruise on the quiet waters of the Nile in Luxor.

DAY 4 – Luxor West Bank Tour and Cruise to Edfu

Begin your day with another good breakfast, and then your tour guide will take you for a tour of the West Bank in Luxor. During this tour you will be visiting Valley of the Kings, Queen Hatshepsut Temple, and the Colossi of Memnon. While Valley of the Kings is home to more than 60 ancient tombs, the tomb of King Ramses the 6th and the tomb of King Tutankhamun are by far the most famous.
After your tour, you will return to the cruise ship, and it will begin selling to Edfu. Enjoy a good lunch on the water, and then enjoy the remainder of the afternoon relaxing and unwinding aboard the ship. Have another great night’s sleep on the water, this time at Edfu.

DAY 5 – Edfu Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, and Cruise to Aswan

This day of your Egypt and Turkey tour once again begins with a good breakfast, after which you will disembark from the ship for a tour to the ancient Temple of Horus. After the Romans abandoned this temple, it was slowly claimed by the desert and eventually became completely buried beneath the sand and it remained that way for more than 2,000 years. Because of this, it is now the best preserved ancient temple ever discovered.
After your tour, you will return to the ship, and it cruise to Kom Ombo where you will be taken to see the fascinating Temple of Kom Ombo. This is essentially two temples in one, and the reason for this being that the complex was dedicated to two different gods. Return to the ship after your tour, and then it will sail to Aswan. Enjoy dinner aboard the vessel, and have a good night’s rest on the tranquil waters of the Nile in Aswan.

DAY 6 – Aswan Tour and Free Afternoon

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, and then our tour guide will take you for a relatively short tour to see three of the top attractions in the area, including the Aswan High Dam; the Unfinished Obelisk, and the ancient Temple of Philae. This remarkable temple once stood on a tiny island which is now located beneath the waters of Lake Nasser.
After your tour, you will head back to the ship in time for lunch, and then you will have the rest of the day to yourself. The last night of you cruise will again be spent on the water at Aswan.

DAY 7 – Disembarkation and Flight to Cairo

The next phase of your Egypt and Turkey tour begins today so once you have had your breakfast you will check out and disembark, and then you will be driven to as one Airport where you were bored I showed flight back to Cairo. When your land in Cairo your tour manager will meet you and he will escort you to the hotel where you will be staying for the night. You will be assisted with check in and a pickup time will be confirmed for the following day, and then you’ll be left on your own to enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

DAY 8 – Cairo to Istanbul in Turkey

The next phase of your Egypt and Turkey tour begins today, so once you have had your breakfast, you will check out and disembark, and then you will be driven to Aswan Airport where you will board a short flight back to Cairo. When you land in Cairo, your tour manager will meet you and he will escort you to the hotel where you will be staying for the night. You will be assisted with check-in, and a pick-up time will be confirmed for the following day, and then you’ll be left on your own to enjoy the remainder of the day as you wish.

DAY 9 – Guided Istanbul Tour

Enjoy your breakfast at your hotel, and then you will be fetched at the time that was confirmed with you yesterday, and your tour of Istanbul will begin with a visit to the famous Hagia Sophia which was originally built in the 4th century by Emperor Constantine. However, the Ottomans later converted the Hagia Sophia into a mosque during the 15th century. Today, this magnificent site is a museum which is open for all to enjoy.
Your next stop today will be at the famous Blue Mosque which is considered very unique due to the fact that it has 6 minutes, and an absolutely exquisitely decorated interior. After your visit to the Blue Mosque, you will then make your way to spectacular Topkapi Palace, and from there you will continue on your way to the massive Grand Bazaar where you will have some time to do some shopping before you finally head back to your hotel for the night.

DAY 10 – Guided Bosphorus Tour and Short Cruise

Your tour guide will once again meet you at your hotel after you have had your breakfast, and then you will make your way to the Spice Bazaar which is one of the most colorful and most lively attractions in Istanbul. Enjoy some time at the bazaar, and then you will enjoy a truly unforgettable cruise on the Bosphorus. This is the length of ocean which essentially links Europe and Asia. After your cruise you will drive across the First Bosphorus Bridge, and then make your way up to the top of Camlica Hill where you will be able to enjoy the most incredible views imaginable of Istanbul and the surrounding ocean of Marmara and the Princes Islands.
After enjoying the views, you will make your way to the amazing Beylerbeyi Palace, and then you will be transferred back to your hotel where you will be able to enjoy the reminder of the day by yourself.

DAY 11 – Istanbul to Capadocia

Today will be another very relaxing day because once you’ve had your breakfast, you will check out from your hotel, and you will be driven to the airport where you will board a short flight to Cappadocia. On arrival at the airport in Cappadocia, you will be met by another one of our tour representatives, and you’ll be escorted to the hotel where you will be staying for the night. Once you have checked in, and once pick up times for your upcoming tours have been confirmed, you’ll be left on your own to enjoy the day as you wish.

DAY 12 – Full Day Cappadocia Tour

Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel in Cappadocia, and then at the time that was confirmed with you yesterday, your tour guide will meet you, and you will then enjoy a full day out in Cappadocia. During your tour you will be visiting a number of incredibly fascinating sites, including the Kaymakli Underground City; the Open Air Museum in Goreme, and the natural Fortress located in Uchisar. While in this area, you will have the opportunity to learn all about the incredible history relating to the local handicrafts such as Turkish tiles and onyx. Finally, you will be taken to see Pasabag Valley and Avanos, and then you will be taken back to your hotel for a well-deserved rest.

DAY 13 – Cappadocia to Konya, and on to Pamukkale

This day of your Egypt and Turkey tour begins earlier than usual, so once you’ve had your breakfast, you will check-out early, and you will be taken to Konya to see the Seljukian masterpiece, the Sultanhan Caravanserai which dates back to the 13th century. From here, you will move on to visit the Mausoleum of Mevlana, and then you will continue driving to Pamukkale where you will be staying for this night of your Egypt and Turkey tour.

DAY 14 – Pamukkale to Aphrodisias, and on to Kusadasi

After you have enjoyed your breakfast today, your tour guide will fetch you once again, and then you will check-out from the hotel, and you will take to visit the ancient Hierapolis which is renowned for its beautiful necropolis; graveyard; Roman baths, and Basilica. After this visit, you will enjoy a short lunch break, and then you’ll be taken to see an ancient Greco-Roman settlement at Aphrodisias which is incredibly well-preserved. This ancient city was once dedicated to Aphrodite the Goddess of love.
Next you will enjoy a scenic drive to Kusadasi where you will be check-in at another good hotel for the night.

DAY 15 – Kusadasi Tour and Flight to Istanbul

Begin the 15th day of your Egypt and Turkey tour with another good hotel breakfast, and then your tour guide will meet you at your hotel, and he will take you to see the ancient city of Ephesus. Spend some time exploring its magnificent library, its theater, and its temples. After this stop, you will then make your way to the Virgin Mary’s House and the Basilica of Saint John before stopping for a lunch break.
After lunch, you will then make your way to see a fashion show that showcases the unique leather products for which Turkey is so well-known. Next, you will be driven to the airport of Izmir and you will board a short flight back to Istanbul where you will be spending the last night of your Egypt and Turkey tour.

DAY 16 – Egypt and Turkey Tour Ends and Final Departure

Enjoy one last breakfast at your hotel as usual, and then at the appropriate time, our tour representative will meet you; he will assist you with check-out, and then he will escort you to the airport in Istanbul in time for you to catch your flight out of Turkey. Your Egypt and Turkey tour has now come to an end, so we will bid you farewell and wish you a safe and very pleasant onward journey.
