Day 1: Welcome to Cairo

On the day you arrive for your Cairo to Luxor tour, your tour manager will meet you at Cairo International Airport and then once you have cleared immigration you will be transferred to the five star hotel where you will be staying while you are in Cairo. Your tour manager will assist you with check in and then go over your itinerary with you and confirm pick up times for your Cairo sightseeing tours. After this, you will be left to enjoy the rest of the day as you wish.

Day 2: Giza Pyramids Complex, Egyptian Museum and Coptic Cairo

Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel, and then at the confirmed time your expert guide and driver will fetch you in one of our private vehicles. Today’s sightseeing tour will begin at the Giza plateau with a visit to the legendary Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx. Visitors can actually enter the Pyramids of Giza, but separate tickets need to be purchased at the site if you wish to enter any of these three timeless wonders.

After your visit to the pyramids, you will then be taken to a good local restaurant for some lunch. The cost of your lunch meal is included in the price of our 5-day Cairo to Luxor tour package.

After you have finished enjoying your lunch, you will then head to the Egyptian Museum which is home to tens of thousands of priceless relics that showcase roughly 5,000 years of Egyptian history. A visit to this world famous museum is well and truly an unforgettable experience.

When your museum tour comes to an end, you will then make your way to a part of the city which is known as Coptic Cairo to see the famous Hanging Church of Cairo and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Finally, you will be driven back to your hotel and you will have the rest of the day for yourself.

Day 3: The Best of Luxor

Enjoy another delicious breakfast at your hotel and then it will be time for you to check out. Your tour manager and one of our drivers will fetch you and transfer you to Cairo Airport where you will board a short domestic flight to Luxor. When you arrive at Luxor Airport one of our tour representatives and one of our drivers will be waiting for you, and your Luxor sightseeing tour will begin with a visit to the Valley of Kings. This is an ancient royal burial ground that is home to more than 60 tombs, including the tomb of the boy king, King Tutankhamun. The mummy of pharaoh Tutankhamun is still on display inside his tomb.

The price of our Luxor tour from Cairo includes admission to some of these ancient tombs. However, if you want to enter some of the most famous ones you will need to purchase additional tickets at the site.

After you have finished exploring the Valley of Kings, you will then visit the mortuary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Queen Hatshepsut Temple is one of Egypt’s most popular and most visited ancient attractions, and one which features in nearly all good Luxor sightseeing tours.
Your last stop will be at the Colossi of Memnon which are two gigantic statues which once stood guard in front of the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III. Today, these massive stone statues are all that remain of the original temple complex.

After a wonderful day of sightseeing you will then be driven to the hotel where you will be staying for the night.
Optional Excursion: In the evening you will have the option of attending a spectacular Sound and Lights Show at Karnak Temple which is located on the east bank of the Nile River in Luxor. This is optional so it is therefore not included in the price of our 5-day Cairo to Luxor tour.

Day 4: Luxor East bank and Return to Cairo

After enjoying a delicious breakfast at your hotel, your guide and driver will fetch you and you will be taken to see two top attractions on the east bank: Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple. Luxor Temple is one of Egypt’s best preserved ancient temples, while Karnak Temple, on the other hand, is the largest place of worship ever built by man. Unfortunately, not much of the original complex remains, but there is still so much to see.

After your east bank tour, you will then be driven to Luxor Airport where you will board a short flight back to Cairo. The price of our Cairo to Luxor tour package includes an Egypt Air domestic flight tickets.

When you arrive in Cairo your tour manager will be at the airport to meet you and to escort you to the five-star hotel where you will be staying for the last night of your tour.

Day 5: Your Cairo to Luxor Tour Ends

Enjoy a good breakfast at your hotel and then your tour manager and one of our drivers will fetch you at the appropriate time and transfer you to the airport in time for you to board your flight out of Egypt. Your Luxor tour from Cairo has now come to an end.
